Ladyswell National School, Mulhuddart

Ladyswell, (also known as Scoil an Cheathrair Álainn) is a primary school, founded in September 1984. All pupils are living in the Ladyswell area of Mulhuddart Parish.

Scoil an Cheathrair Álainn first opened its doors on 3 September 1984 in rented classrooms made available by Huntstown N. S. On that day 2 teachers, Paddy McDermot and Anna Griffiths, enrolled 66 children in classes ranging from Junior Infants to Sixth Class.

We moved to our present location in in April 1987. The building of 16 classrooms, P.E. Hall, offices and staff room was officially opened in September 1987.

Since then 8 prefab classrooms have been added on.

The staff consists of 26 teachers and caters for an enrollment of more than 450 children
