Wonderful site. I am a grade 2/3 teacher. I am currently taking a University Course on Computers in the classroom. I am really interested in your booklet on the use of the Internet. I am interested in how to program for students in order to provide them with a need to use computers rather than teach computer skills.

I am impressed by the way you presented things that will help students like us for the future. For sure, Computer Technology should be considered now as one of the vital part of the students' backbone. Here in Concordia College, Computer Education has been given the top most priority, further enhancing and preparing us to be one of the best graduates in our country, of course with your help too!!!! God Bless and More Power!!

An excellent website and an admiral project - well done. I am a final year psychology undergraduate at queen's university belfast. My thesis was based on comparing children's and adults search straegies on the internet. I knew that with the advent of multimedia that children as young as 3 where being exposed to living books, however a newspaper article on an after school computer club which allowed children to access the net inspired me to compare primary seven year olds and adults. The primary school I used as as a subject pool had provided internet access for primary 4 to 7, access meant mainly contacting other schools to share experiences or advise on school projects. My preliminary finding indicate that children may mediate or cope better with the frustration of waiting for information download. Both children and adults search for "zeit geist" information i.e. information on the spice girls, star wars and manchester united. Finally I whole heartedly agree that primary school children and their teachers should be shown have to navigate and use the internet which may deflect ingrained negative attitudes towards computers.

I´m really impressed by the contribution Broadcom is doing for the pupils at your three "IT"schools. I got my bachelor of education-exam in 1988, and have worked with youngsters with school-fobia and severe social problems these past years.I know that Ericsson has a pretty tight relationship with Broadcom, and therefor I gave them a call a few weeks ago, to ask for one or two computers for our school. Me and my collegue use the net in our homes and would like to try it with these difficult pupils of ours, especially those who refuses to come to school at all. Well, all we recieved from Ericsson was two old pc:s(...for floppy-disks...)that were useless for us. I wish somebody could influence them to be more generous by showing your great pages...maybe I will! Greetings from Sweden and Anna Thorén

Brilliant web site. Has anyone got a clue as to certification procedures for an American teacher looking to move back with her husband within the year in finding a job with no Irish language skills what-so-ever in her? Thanks, Philomena Gudemann

Brilliant web site. I'm looking to move back to Ireland and would love to get into the development of this project in or out of the classroom. Has anyone got a clue as to certification requirements other than the Irish language bump I have ahead of me? Thanks for a wonderful source of information!!

hello, I am looking for a class of 14- 15 yr old students who would like to make contact with a similar class in Uppsala, Sweden. My son is in that class and now they are looking for a place to go on their class trip in 1997 or 98. An idea is to find a hospitable class in Irland, and invite them for the autumm, for instance and then visit them during spring 98, or vice versa.

Enjoyed visiting your pages. Have downloaded a copy of Classroom of the Future. Great Job ! I currently teach at a 2-year community college, and we are going through much of the same senario as we get on the Internet at our school. Also, I am interested in Ireland, because I lived there for five years in Limerick, from 1979 - 1984. I found that the secondary school in our neighborhood, Ard Scoil Ris (spelling ??), has a home page and have visited it along with other Limerick sites. My children went to infant and primary school in Limerick. I will keep in touch on the net.
